Arran Beattie

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Arran Beattie worked professionally in theatre, film and television with The BBC, UK Theatre School at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He appeared in Falstaff (Scottish Opera) and memorial film Auschwitz (RedSnappa, 2010) before migrating to Australia in 2013.
 
Arran graduated from Flinders Drama Centre in 2018 and is an actor, writer, drag performer, singer, guitarist and clown. Most recently, he appeared in Neale Irwin’s Parlour Games (The Green Guys Company) during Adelaide Fringe 2021. In 2020 he wrote for and performed in web series Decameron 2.0 (ActNow Theatre, State Theatre Company of South Australia) and Virtual Intimacy (ActNow Theatre, Very Theatre). Additionally, he played Kitty in How To Kill Your Hamster by Eliza Oliver (Ladylike Theatre Collective, RUMPUS) and devised Dead Gorgeous: A True Crime Clown Show (Madness of Two, Hew Parham) the same year. His award-winning drag character Marion Westfield performs with Haus of Kong and hosts events around Adelaide.
