Ahmed Adam

Ahmed Adam is a multidisciplinary artist working across film, photography, writing, and African drumming. He lives and works on Kaurna land, after spending over a decade in Central Australia. Originally from Sudan, Ahmed trained at the Asian Academy of Film and Television in Delhi and has worked in editing, lighting, and directing on film and television projects for the ABC, Aboriginal organisations in the APY and Ngaanyatjarra Lands, and communities in the Pilbara, as well as projects in Sydney, Sudan, India, and the UAE. His practice focuses on documentary and short fiction, often working with young people with disabilities, refugees, migrants, and men experiencing social and economic marginalisation. Ahmed is passionate about using art to amplify unheard voices and believes in its power to create space for justice and belonging.
