We are thrilled to announce that ActNow Theatre has won an Impact Award from Performing Arts Connection (PAC) Australia.

The Impact Awards celebrate excellence in performing arts, leadership, new thinking and best practice, with a focus on lasting impact in communities and ActNow has been recognised for its award-winning program of interactive, social justice led performance projects.

Our team is so proud of the work we do, and it feels incredible to have this industry recognition. We are looking forward to continuing to make a difference in the sector and keeping focused on our mission to decolonise and democratise storytelling.

ActNow Theatre’s CEO/Artistic Director Yasmin Gurreeboo says:

‘Community and cultural development work can often feel undervalued and at times invisible in the performing arts sector, so it was such an honour that the importance of our work and its impact was recognised on a national platform. I'd like to thank the ActNow Team,  our Board, the Australia Council, the Department of Premier and Cabinet — Arts South Australia, and, most importantly, our key delivery partner Reconciliation South Australia.’
