Community Workshop Intensive: If You Just Come Into The Water with Yasmin Gurreeboo

  • ActNow Theatre 253 Gouger Street Adelaide, SA, 5000 Australia (map)

Join a small group for a welcoming, creative weekend intensive that brings together invited professional artists and community members. Together, we will immerse ourselves in If You Just Come Into The Water, a new work in development by Yasmin Gurreeboo that delves into the many dimensions of loss and explores how individuals navigate grief, and whether it can be transcended.

Through open discussion, quiet observation, and shared creative space, this intensive offers a unique chance to witness and be part of Yasmin’s evolving process as they shape this story.

Participants will gain insight into self-directed practice, artistic autonomy, and the power of creating from a place of authenticity free from expectation, cultural pressure, or the burden of representation.

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting artists on their own terms, this workshop celebrates personal expression, creative freedom, and the importance of making space for artists to tell the stories that matter most to them.
